Objective
To strengthen and support the capacity of UNFF focal points in developing countries and countries with economies in transition in reporting to the UNFF on progress made in the implementation of the Forest Instrument at the tenth and session of the UNFF in 2013 and to strengthen and support their capacity to conduct monitoring, assessment and reporting (MAR) required for the preparation of national reports
Expected Outcome 1
Increased awareness and understanding in UNFF focal organizations on the national level in developing countries and countries with economies in transition of the purpose and objectives of the Forest Instrument and of MAR requirements related to the architecture and format for national reports for the United Nations Forum on Forests
Expected Outcome 2
Improved regional coordination in preparation of national reports and better sharing of experiences in best practices towards the achievement of sustainable forest management and the Global Objectives on Forests
Expected Outcome 3
Increased capacity in UNFF focal organizations on the national level in developing countries and countries with economies in transition to conduct MAR in the countries and provide voluntary national reports to future UNFF sessions
