Brief Description

This project aims to support the needs of Member States in the Asia-Pacific region to develop evidence based policies for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development and the SDGs with the establishment of a “Sustainable Development Goals Helpdesk” (SDG Helpdesk) as a ‘one-stop shop’ providing access to tools, knowledge, expertise, advice and opportunities for peer-learning and regional south-south cooperation. Building on ESCAP’s in-house developed methodologies, knowledge products and tools for capacity development, as well as those of UNEP, other UN agencies and regional networks, the Helpdesk will include a set of on-line knowledge products and capacity building services (knowledge products, e-modules, e-learning courses); provision of Training of Trainers courses, peer-learning and regional South-South coordination workshops, technical advisory services; and the establishment of and support to a regional network of government experts on sustainable development, i.e. ESCAP Sustainable Development (SD) Focal Points and regional Voluntary National Review (VNR) Focal Points.
