Brief Description

This project will strengthen national capacity of the beneficiary countries to design and implement integrated reforms for removing regulatory and procedural trade barriers in a manner that is conducive to industrial development and innovation (SDG 9), poverty eradication (SDG1), the achievement of growth with equity (SDG 10) and strengthening the global partnership for development (SDG 17).

Objective and Expected Outcomes

Objective
To strengthen the national capacities of selected countries in the UNECE region for evidence-based regulatory and procedural trade policies to support the achievement of SDGs 1, 9, 10 and 17.
Expected Outcome 1
Improved national capacity for assessing regulatory and procedural barriers to trade in goods and their impact on the SDGs.
Expected Outcome 2
Improved national capacity for developing evidence-based trade regulatory and procedural policies aimed at the achievement of the SDGs
