Brief Description
This project will strengthen the capacity of ESCWA Member States to operationalize social justice and gender equality principles and integrate them in their development strategies and programmes. It will produce and apply tools to promote these principles in the development process by focusing on two processes: 1) participatory social protection policy formulation and 2) gender mainstreaming. The project will also develop strong cooperation between local actors and central Governments, civil society and external actors. The outcome of the project will strengthen the capacity of ESCWA Member States to support more effective, equitable and participatory policy processes, including inclusive models of growth and policies for financing social and sustainable human development.
