Brief Description

Through this project, informal sector actors – primarily women and youth of different disciplinary/sectorial backgrounds - engaged in EBA-driven agriculture as well as clean energy solutions will be convened for youth climate actions enterprises that show application of EBA to enhance yields as well as clean energy solutions to reduce post-harvest losses and add value to what is produced. Innovative financing structures of cooperatives will be leveraged to drive climate action enterprise solutions that invest in application of EBA & clean energy along the agro-value chains. Empirical data of how this multi-sectoral coherence unlocks climate action enterprise investment in EBA & clean energy for increased agricultural production, enhanced ecosystems productivity, cut postharvest losses, increased incomes, and enhanced food safety, will be feedback and taken up by policy experts and actors from different sectors to inform their work, including actions in responding to the COVID-19. These policy experts & actors will be convened under multi-sector policy agencies – especially National Standards Bodies of countries – as well as ministries of agriculture and environment – and will be referred as “policy harmonization and coherence committees for implementation ”. The end will be to inform government-wide policy implementation coherence towards realization of multiple SDGs through enterprise investments in the catalytic areas of EBA-driven Agriculture and clean energy.
